The chemical indicator changes color to brown after sterilization. The number of spores in the biological indicator is 5.0 • 102–5.0 • 103. The biological control method is based on the inactivation of a certain number of spores of test microorganisms, specific for each of the sterilization methods used.

This type of control confirms the real death of contaminating microflora inside the sterilizer and on sterilized products. The peculiarity of the biological method of control over the physical and chemical is that the assessment of the effectiveness of the process of sterilization of the process is carried out after the actual death of spores of resistant test microorganisms.
